Hartman Turnbow

Hartman Turnbow (March 20, 1905–August 15, 1988)〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Hartman Turnbow (1905 - 1988) )〕 was an American farmer and activist during the Civil Rights Movement. ==Early life==

Turnbow was born on March 20, 1905 in Mileston, Mississippi. Turnbow was the grandson of a slave. He then moved to Chicago, Illinois where he met and married his second wife Dee. The two with their children moved to Tchula, Mississippi where he became an independent farmer.
